Most awaited audio of the season 'Legend' audio is out, Boyapati and Devi Sri Prasad is a good combo musically and Devi giving music to Ballaya for the first time has raised expectations on this audio, audio launch happened recently at Shilpakalavedika, Hyderabad, lets have a look at the songs:
All Songs were Penned by Ramajoggaya Sastri.
First song in the album and also in the film, typical DSP tune and composition, we saw many songs in the same style from DSP, he did nothing new here, lyrics were just okay, singers did a good job, Narendra's voice is main asset for the song his vocals suited for the song, rest depends on picturization, but the beat "time bomb pellinde pilla" and "lorry gudinde pilla" is catchy, only thing to look out for is how Ballaya would carry this on the screen, this song is perfectly apt for any younger generation heroes but is completely different for Ballaya's body language. Overall okay song and passable.
Overall with an extraordinary title song which is too good for hero elevation and with very good melody this album marks average impression, Tanjavuru might be liked in repeat hearings and Time Bomb is pretty average one from DSP, item song is disappointing and sloka song should have been skipped from the album. If you are having huge expectation, then this album will definitely disappoint, leaving rest five songs aside title song is more than a album and for fans it is a sure shot feast.
Dsp nowadays is lagging behind his competitors in giving good albums, he is giving only 1/2 chart busters but only thing which is saving him is those 2 chart busters will be at top notch which indicates that he still has a good stuff in him to deliver blockbuster albums, remember leaving Chirutha, Pokiri, Kick and Dhookudu all blockbusters in past few years are in the name of DSP, he is concentrating more on Bgm's, it better if DSP takes a break and marks his come back with refreshing album. Audience want at least 4 superb songs in a Dsp album rather than 1/2.

1. Time Bomb ( Narendra, Rita)- 2.5/5:
First song in the album and also in the film, typical DSP tune and composition, we saw many songs in the same style from DSP, he did nothing new here, lyrics were just okay, singers did a good job, Narendra's voice is main asset for the song his vocals suited for the song, rest depends on picturization, but the beat "time bomb pellinde pilla" and "lorry gudinde pilla" is catchy, only thing to look out for is how Ballaya would carry this on the screen, this song is perfectly apt for any younger generation heroes but is completely different for Ballaya's body language. Overall okay song and passable.
2. Om Sarvani (MM Manasi)- NR:
Sloka kind of song, a song to be skipped in audio but might be crucial on screen, picturisation will decide its fate, for classical music lovers it will be a good one.3.Ne Kanti Chupulo (Vijay Yesudas, Chitra)- 4/5:
Superb melody in the album, Devi though is famous for item songs and fast beats but his melodies are always appreciated, last year 'Katuka Kallu' and 'Bapu gari boma' stood out as chart busters and this year this song will be, it is an instant hit song, lyrics are neat and vocals are well suited for the song, tune is good, over all a good melody in the album and if correctly picturised it can be remembered for long.4. Lasku Tapa (Sagar, Malathi)- 2.5/5:
Finally we have Malathi singing after a long break, Devi always comes with some crazy words for item songs, this time it is "lasku tapa", Malathi has carried entire song on her shoulders, Sagar should have been avoided for this song, not best of Devi's item numbers but is just okay song, might need repeated hearings, lyrics are okay, tune is pretty routine and energy is missing in the composition, if picturisation goes bad then it will be a speed breaker in the movie.5. Tanjavuru (Suraj Santosh, Harini) -3.5/5:
One more energetic song in the album, this may not be an instant hit but definitely will go with masses, especially beat 'tanjavuru bommale' is catchy, though it resembles Devi' previous work 'Kanyakumari' song from Damarukam but still is enough to impress listeners, lyrics are good, tune is good though repeated one, singers did a good job, its a good dancing number so will have to look forward for it to see on screen.6.He is Legend (MLR Karthikeyan)- 5/5:
Till now all songs were pretty average and one song was good but there was no stand out song in the album, but title song makes up for it, one of the best works in recent times from DSP, beat is very powerful and tune is too good, lyrics are at top notch, MLR Karthikeyan is very good singer but didn't get a big break till now, with this song he will be become popular, orchestra work is extraordinary in the song, perfect song for hero elevation, for fans this one song is more than enough and it is very clear that Devi is going to use this song for RR, might be this is where Dsp scores over other musicians in the industry, it is an instant chart buster and will definitely raise expectations on this film.Overall with an extraordinary title song which is too good for hero elevation and with very good melody this album marks average impression, Tanjavuru might be liked in repeat hearings and Time Bomb is pretty average one from DSP, item song is disappointing and sloka song should have been skipped from the album.
