Story

Trisha (Vidya Balan) and Siddharth (Farhan Akhtar) are a married couple who want enjoy their lives and play every possible card to keep their married life fresh and exciting. Everything is going as planned until one fine day, Trisha gets pregnant and they soon welcome a baby girl in their life.

After having a baby, Trisha turns into a peculiar, full-time mommy and soon enough Sid starts missing his earlier fun-filled life. Sid in turn seeks marital advice from his brother-in-law, Ranveer (Ram Kapoor), who is “apparently” a good husband and the world’s best father. From Ranveer, Sid discovers a formula to keep himself and his family happy !!!

But does this formula work, or will Sid invite more trouble for himself ? To know what the formula and its side-effects are, you need to watch this film on the big screen.

Positive Aspects

In case you are a man looking for a fool-proof plan for a happy married life, then here it is “If you make a mistake, you say sorry … If she makes a mistake, you only say sorry.”

The movie deals with problems faced after getting married and also the dilemmas that one faces after becoming a parent! The first half is hilarious and doesn’t stop laughing for even a single second.

Speaking of performances, after a very long time we have two actors who have such effortless chemistry between each other. Farhan and Vidya look believable in every shot and a special mention goes to Farhan for his fine expressions and effortless wit.

Negative Aspects

The film is far too male-centric in its approach and is written totally from the male point of view. The second half of the film doesn’t really have that engaging quality that the first half possesses. It also has been dragged a bit too much which makes the viewers lose interest.

Vir Das is hilarious in his part, but is not given much space to take his character further. Purab Kohli looks like he has been picked from the coffee ad with Karan Johar and Deepika Padukone.

There are few parts which does not seem to be realistic such as the portion where Farhan forgets his child with a strange man.

Technical Aspects

Director Saket has done a decent job. The dialogues by Arshad Sayed in the first half are a riot while Farhan’s lines especially will provide some good laughs.

The songs are decent and because there are only a few and they do not act as a hindrance in the plot. The cinematography is natural and while some sharp editing helps in keeping the screenplay tight.

Story:

In the meanwhile, the terrorists in the Hyderabad kidnaps the students of the Basanti college including Arjun,Roshini and his friends. The rest of the story is all about how Arjun rescue the lives of his friends and his girl friend from the terrorists.

Goutham: He improved well as an actor compared to the previous flicks. His Performance in the movie added flavor to the movie. Entirely he did well in his role without any negative remarks.

Alisha Baig: Even though she was not beautiful in the movie, she was cute and appeared with her natural look in most of the scenes. Coming to her performance she did justice to her role. 

Others: Supporting roles Tanikella Bharani, Shiyaj Shinde did well in their roles.

Analysis:

Director Chaitanya Dantuluri who proved himself with his debut movie "Banam" has came up with a different script. The direction of the movie is good. He carried both entertainment and serious emotions in the movie.The first half of the movie goes on with some class elements. The Scenes between hero and heroine were to be loved by the viewers. The second half of the movie carries the main plot of the story. The sentiment scenes in the second half were touching. The BGM work done by Mani sharma is major asset for the film. Finally,due to lack of interesting scenes and highlights in the movie, it may show negative impact at the Box-office.

Story

Rambabu (Sunil) suffers from brain tumer, he gets to know that in the  beginning  of the film itself and decides to end his life, but Thanikela Bharani inspires him to live greatly in the time he has, with that inspiration he starts off to Hyderabad, he meets Nandhini (Ester) in the journey and starts loving her and Nandini too loves her, meanwhile Rambabu with help of Posani starts cleaning Hyderabad by eliminating all the goons in the city. By interval time he comes to know about his disease and but that time he forces Nandini to marry some other guy, what is actual disease, what happens at the end is the rest of the story.

Performances:

Sunil: He did well as Rambabu, need not mention about his comedy timing, he did well in few sentiment scenes also, but it will be good if he concentrates on story selection also.

Ester: no performance no skin show, she is just there.

Others: Bharani did well in little role, Posani and Supreeth were usual and helped for the story, others were just there.

Technicians:

Music: Was poor, especially the weakest one  in Anup's recent, good music could have taken this movie to next level,BGM was also pretty average, non of the songs looked great on the screen.

Editing: Was fair enough.

Dialogues: Were good at parts, few bought in laughs.

Others: Fights were not well composed, production values were okay.

Director And His Film:

Uday Shankar is making film after many years, he is trying hard to still to score big at the box office, story was well mixture of Chakram, Annavaram and other movies, he failed to get best from his technical team, screenplay was dragged, he should have concentrated on comedy, comedy was minimal and sentiment did not go well.

Its just Sunil's one man show.

Overall a below average fair, go for it if you have no choice.

Story: 

Its remake of Bollywood hit film 'Band Baja Bharath', story is the same, where a jobless guy meets a girl with high ambitions, both of them start a marriage planning business, they start from a very low scale and grow up, mean while heroine loves hero but hero sticks to his promise with heroine which he gives at the very  begging  that  business  mates can't become life mates, after heroine starts moving away from hero, then he realizes that he too is loving her but heroine will already be engaged with another guy, what  happens  at the end, did hero manage to get heroine is rest of the story?

Performances: 

Nani as Shakthi did a fine job, he played a boy next door  character and fitted in the role, special mentions to his comedy timing and diction, he is improving day by day as an actor.

Vani Kapoor as Sruthi played a typical middle class girl with high ambitions in her life, it was her debut film, she looked gorgeous on screen, her dubbing was somewhat irritating, expressions were subtle.

Others: yest years actress Simran was seen in a special role, others did a fine job.

Technicians:

Music: could have been better especially for this genre of film, songs were passable with no real stand out  chart buster, on screen also they were like speed breakers, bgm is also pretty average.

Editing: is major draw back of the film, many scenes were dragged   which will make audience feel bore.

Cinematography: was okay

Production Values: were great, sets were grand, marriage atmosphere was created on screen, up to banner's standards.

Director and his film:

Gokul Krishna a new director was chosen for this belly remake, it is his debut film and should have been a cake walk for him since he had to do very minute changes, this film is more of a Tamil film and should be called a Tamil dubbed film instead of Telugu film, Tamil flavor was clearly seen in each and every scene of the film,  entertainment which was expected from this film was lacking and emotions were not canned properly, its just like some act going on for more than 2 hours without creating any interest among audience.

Story is good though, performances were fine but technical department failed to cash on it resulting in just an below average stuff from the team.

Finally: Lacks  entertainment!!! but with full of Tamil flavor

Basic Plot:

Prakash- Nani is very greedy person about money, he doesnt have any wishes or dreams  except  for money, Catherine is poor Muslim girl in the old city, Prakash suddenly on one day gets cash  unknowingly, he is heavily in need of cash to win his love and also a political group also is in need of same cash, so troubles begin for Prakash, what he does with that cash and what happens at the end is rest of the story.

Performances:

Nani:

Nani is one of the finest actors in the Tollywood, his diction and dialogue delivery were good  as usual, but in few scenes he did  over action  which was irritating, but as a greedy man he perfectly fitted in the role.

Heroines:

Catherine as a Muslim and poor girl was okay, she hardly had any dialogues, nothing much to talk about her, Siddhika was there to fill the space as typical KV's heroine.

Others:

Charan Raj was seen after a long time in an important role, he was good as politician, he too looked odd in few close up shots, many new/unfamiliar faces were given important roles in the film and every one showed loud action.

By Sai Kartheek was not up to the mark, when you are give a chance to prove yourself for a big film then you should definitely prove yourself, songs were speed  breakers  for the story, how ever BGM was okay and apt.

Cinematography: 

Whole film is shot in a raw manner which made screen look irritating at times, few camera angles  resembled  RGV's style, might be camera man's fault or Kv's but was not up to the mark.

Editing:

Major draw back for this film, was very poor especially in the first half,

Others:

Fights were poor,  color grading looked odd, technically it was failure.

Direction & Analysis: 

Creative director Krishnavamsi lost his touch completely, idea and concept were good but they were presented in worst possible manner, few scenes where Nani realizes about cash, love proposal etc stand out and show that Krishnavamsi can still create magic but he should be more focused.

Entire film was shot in very rough manner which itself is irritating, unnecessary close up shots on actors etc were irritating, might be KV to show it in Anthapuram, Samudhram and Mahathma style but its complete let down,  weired  camera angles loud actions bad screenplay everything make this film a bad ride for viewers.

Overall:

Paisa is a big boring ride, hardly one time watch, its  better if KV stops this kind of treatment for the subjects.

Go for it only if you are hardcore fan of Krishnavamsi, others need not spend Paisa on Paisa.

Rummy Movie Review

Rummy - the most expected movie of the director Balakrishnan has been released on 31st January 2014. Vijay Sethupathi , Iyshwarya, Soori and Inigo Prabhakaran had done the major roles in this movie.The movie takes us back to 1987 where Vijay sethupathi and Inigo are getting educated in a college. Meanwhile Inigo fells in love with a girl from their village and the whole movie plays around the oppositions they face in the village.

Vijay Sethupathi is not playing the lead role in this movie which disappoints his fans. Inigo who is playing the major role has some good fight sequence and songs to give the audience. Soori the upcoming comedian has exceptionally made this film a more entertaining with his wits and jokes.

Music for this movie was done by Imman and has done extremely well in background scores. But the songs could have been better which might be a slight negative for the movie.

The director had made the movie more genuinely by pulling up the information which were done at 1980's period such as Silk Sumitha ragging and Rajni Kanth "Oliyum Oliyum" movie.

Rummy doesn't have any new story for us or the director doesn't want to provide the audience some new tales and which is why this might also defame the growing actor Vijay Sethupathi.

Manoj,  Varun Sandesh and Tanish are children of Mohan Babu, while Vishnu and Vennela Kishore are sons of Ravina Tandon, Vishnu and Manoj fight with each other, Hansika – girlfriend of Vishnu finds that Mohan Babu and Raveena are ex lovers and tries to unite them,  form there film takes a comedy track and finds an happy ending.

Rating: 3/5

Performances:

Mohan Babu suited well in that role,  Vishnu  was just okay, his dialogue delivery was poor, he needs to improve a lot, Manoj steals the show with his performances,  he was outstanding as Mohini. Varun Sandesh and Tanish were just present on screen.

Raveena Tandon looked a bit odd,  Hansika and Pranitha were filling the space.

Brahmanandham’s comedy worked well, Vennela Kishore also  entertained, Dasari Narayanarao entertained for few minutes.

Story :

He is shown helping a disabled student write her exams, reunites a kidnapped baby with his distraught mother. Salman who is trying to form a human ‘goodness’ chain gets highly interrupted with the local politician (Danny Dezongpa) who tries to disturb the movement by targeting Jai's mother (Nadira Babbar) and sister Geeta (Tabu). But Jai is not the kind of person who steps back, He fights to his enemies and saves his family. Jai, who thinks that the human ‘goodness’ chain movement which he initiated has been flopped feels frustrated but finally gets to know that this movement is well injected into the public.

Performances :

Salman Khan, Just like looks in Dabbang and Bodyguard, he simply looked like an incredible hulk all through the movie. The people love him unconditionally, in their eyes Khan can do no wrong and Its simply an one man show who dominates everyone on the screen. With the awesome performance he delivered during both the scenarios of sentiment and frightening degree of action drama, Salman Khan can easily lead this movie very successfully at the box office.
The debutant Daisy Shah,who had a very limited role in the movie has proved okay in her character.
Veteran villain Danny has once again proved himself with the negative avtar. His character of a ruthless and corrupted politician is a big positive to the story of the movie.
Other noticeable actors Suniel Shetty, Yash Tonk, Ashmit Patel, Bruna Abdullah and Sana Khan have also done a good job in the movie.

Technical aspects :

• Director tried his best,concept of the movie which is based on building a chain of generous is excellent but he got flattered during some sequences.
• Innovation, script development and editing are a bit weak, there are few scenes which have to be trimmed off to carry the movie at a good pace.
• BGM by Sandeep Shirodkar is the biggest asset for the film.
• Cinematography during the action scenes featuring Salman Khan is magnificent.
• The fights scenes are efficiently choreographed.

Analysis: 

Millions of fans rush to theatres to watch Salman Khan just as he delivered hits such as Dabbang, Ready and the Bodyguard has been proved to be critic-proof. Although with all his incredible look, the character of goodness with his Gandhian philosophy proved a little unbiased during some sequences. But Movie with all its ingredients will surely shake the box office. He tried to prove that Common man when provoked with evil corruption turns evil.

 Ram Charan once again proved his intensity and grace with the abilities he has. He simply showed his commitment into the character, especially in the emotional scenes where he used to get carried away a bit. His body language throughout the movie was really impressive including in the fights. Ram Charan for sure created some high standards for himself in the club with no sort of doubts on mind.

AlluArjun

Allu Arjun, though it’s a little cameo he performed to his very best which definitely helped in raising the bar. His character just paces the movie with even more intensity.

KajalAgarwal

Kajal had a very limited role in the movie but undoubtedly a very crucial one according to the story plot.

AmyJackson

The beautiful British model making her debut in Telugu Industry had played a glamorous role in this movie. Unfortunately, she was just okay with her performance in the movie which looks little dizzy.

Shruti Hassan

Shruthi Hasan fitted well into her character with some real good performance. Shruthi-Charan duo looked really great during the dances.

OtherCast

Sai Kumar as usually delivered his best with his dialogues and stuff. The emotions and gestures he carried during the serious scenarios were simply awesome. LB SriRam & Jaya Sudha performed really well and were apt to their characters. Rahul Dev who performed a character of Charan’s friend in this movie was also okay.

Technical Aspects

Music: DSP, collaborating with Ram Charan and Vamsi Paidipally for the first time has delivered his best. BGM scored by DSP was simply spellbound, especially in action scenarios.
Cinematography: Ram Prasad did some Decent job and framed Cherry really well in the serious scenes.
Editing: was good and helped the movie to maintain a brisk pace throughout.
Production values: With no sort of hesitation, producers strived hard to the best of the movie.
