Seethamma Vakitlo Sirimalle Chettu, the first multi-starrer in contemporary Telugu cinema has received positive reviews for all the old fashioned heart-tugging family drama. Director and writer of SVSC Srikanth Addala has proved that, Tollywood audience were there upfront to support True family entertainers sans usual masala. Now, another family drama is all set to come infront of tollywood audience to entertain and it is the film "MANAM", last venture of Nageswara Rao who died during the production phase of the film. This multi-starrer will stare a huge star cast of Nageswara Rao, Nagarjuna and Naga Chaitanya along with Shriya Saran and Samantha under the direction of Vikram Kumar.
Recently, In an interview samantha said that she is the most luckiest actress of her generation to share a frame with the late Nageswara Rao garu. 'Manam' will always be a very very special film for me in my whole career, whether it works or not. It's the most important film for me as we all have had grew up watching him on the screen and sharing a screen with him is just like a dream come true. During the shoot, I used to stare at him for hours and hours as he is a very funny, down to earth person even after achieving everything he desired for. The best compliment I've received in my life till date is from Nageshwar rao garu i.e, after watching Ye Maya Chesave. he complimented me saying that "I reminded him of great actress Savitri garu" with my acting abilities.
Reportedly, MANAM has managed to pull off a tremendous positive vibe in the family audience right from the release of it's first look. A little survey by V6 Tv news channel has stated that this is the second most awaited film in this year 2014 after Gabbar singh-2. A family movie fancying this much of attention among the public is a great optimistic sign to all the Movie makers.Manam is directed by Vikram Kumar, dialogues are penned by Harshavardan and Music is handled by Anoop Rubens.
