Indian Postal Department has announced the notification for the recruitment of Postal Assistant/Sorting Assistant(PA/SA) for the year 2014. The minimum Qualification required for this posts are 12th standard with English as one of the subjects. Interested candidates can apply online from 27th February 2014 to 27th March 2014.

Eligibility Criteria:
Age Limits(18-27 years): For General Category(Unreserved Applicants) the applicable relaxation is provided to persons belonging to SC/ST/OBC/PH/Ex-servicemen Candidates as per the extant orders. The age limit will be as on 27/03/2014.
Educational Qualification:
- Candidates should Possess 12th standard with English as one of the subjects from recognized university or Board of School Education(excluding Vocational Streams)
- The applicants should have studied local language of State or Union Territory of the concerned Postal Circle or in Hindi as a subject at least in Matriculation level or equivalent.

- Application fee, number of vacancies and other details will be available at postal department's website from 27th February 2014.
Pay Scale:
- Selected Candidates will be offered a pay brand of 5200-20200/- with 2400/- Grade pay + other admissible allowances for the years 2013-14.
